Meet The Attorneys

For over 30 years, the Law Offices of Ken Steidl and Kenny Steinberg have taken a great deal of pride in helping people. The attorneys here know the law quite well, but they also take the time to know their clients. This isn’t your typical law firm, as you can tell from our commercials, our website and our commitment to service.

Bankruptcy attorneys Ken Steidl and Kenny Steinberg have been working together since 1980 and have added three other partners, Julie Steidl, Chris Frye and Lauren Lamb. Brian Dodson and Nathan Chase handle the Steidl and Steinberg Tax Services.

Ken Steidl

Ken Steidl has resided in Pittsburgh since 1978. He graduated from Lafayette College and Duquesne Law School, and was an officer of the Bankruptcy Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association having served as its president. He is very active in providing pro-bono work through the Neighborhood Legal Services Association.

Ken is married to Julie Steidl, who is also a partner with the firm, and they have three children. He has been a practicing attorney since 1981 concentrating his practice in Bankruptcy Law. Ken and his partner, Kenny Steinberg, have filed more than 20,000 Bankruptcy cases. Ken would be a great partner in any trivia games, as he has an amazing ability to recall names, dates and places. He also loves music ranging from Broadway to the Beatles, enjoys swimming, and has a keen interest in keeping up with news and political events of the day.

Kenny Steinberg

When you walk into Kenny Steinberg’s office, you will quickly see some of the greatest loves of his life.

There are family photos on his desk. There are CD’s ranging in a wide variety of musical interest and style. There are baseball hats. There are props from Steidl and Steinberg commercials he has either written or is still working on. And oh yeah, there are law books.

Welcome to the Life and Times of Kenny Steinberg.

Kenny is a Pittsburgh native and a lifelong resident. A University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University School of Law graduate, Kenny has practiced law since 1979. Married with three children, Kenny has a great deal of passion for his work and is committed to giving clients peace of mind with a chance to have a fresh start. He is active in the community, enjoys following developments in the world of news, politics, and sports, and can tell you every song Neil Young has ever recorded or performed.

Julie Frazee Steidl

Julie Frazee Steidl was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. She is a graduate of Chatham College, now Chatham University. She is also a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law in 1981. She met and married Kenneth Steidl at Duquesne University in 1981 and they have three children. Julie enjoys traveling, movies, plays and musicals.  She handles quite a bit of the Chapter 13 bankruptcy court work for Steidl & Steinberg along with her client appointments.

Chris Frye

Chris obtained his law degree from Duquesne University after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. His focus within the firm is on Bankruptcy matters and has helped a great many individuals and businesses through some very difficult times. He is also handling property assessment appeals in Washington County. Chris currently lives in the South Hills of Pittsburgh along with his wife, two sons, and two dogs. Along with practicing law, Chris is an active member of the local community and spends his “free” time serving on the Board of Directors of a local non-profit and cheering on the Steelers, Pens, and Pirates.

Lauren Lamb

When you come for an appointment, feel free to discuss dogs and sports along with your questions about bankruptcy, as Lauren Lamb can certainly carry a conversation in all of those areas.

Lauren was born and raised in the Beaver Falls area and is a graduate of Blackhawk High School, Mercyhurst College, and Duquesne University School of Law. She works primarily out of the Pittsburgh and Beaver offices. Lauren enjoys practicing bankruptcy law because it gives her the chance to help people improve their lives and hopefully alleviate some of their stress in the process. She will fight for her clients, as witnessed in one of the stories on our website concerning a showdown with a utility company. Lauren also handles property assessment appeals in Allegheny and Washington counties.

Lauren is an avid and knowledgeable football and hockey fan and also enjoys playing golf with her co-workers at Steidl and Steinberg. While she has a daily desk calendar with photos of cute dogs, none can compare with her beloved German Shepherd, Gretel.

Abagale Steidl

Abby Steidl brings passion for the law and a strong work ethic as part of the bankruptcy practice area at Steidl and Steinberg.

Abby graduated with highest honors in 2010 from Thiel College with concentrations in History, English Literature Intensive and English Writing Intensive.  She is a 2014 graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law and was the recipient of the Gerald K. Gibson Memorial Award and the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence.

The newest member of the Steidl and Steinberg legal team likes to jam to the sounds of the Dave Matthews Band, and watch the jammers who score points in the reincarnated version of Roller Derby called the Steel City Roller Derby League. Abby is an avid reader and enjoys a good cup of tea and cooking one of her favorite meals.
