I’m Kenny Steinberg, one of the partners here at Steidl and Steinberg. If you haven’t guessed already, I am the Steinberg partner. Also, if you didn’t guess correctly, let me recommend an eye doctor.
I went to Duquesne University School of Law and they somehow let me graduate in 1979. Back then I worked full-time during the day and went to law school at night, so if I have my sunglasses on when you and I talk legal stuff during the day, it’s because I am used to discussing legal matters best when it is dark.
I really enjoy connecting to my clients both in person and with a variety of media. Yes, I admit, I write most of the commercials. For some of you, that means I take the blame. For others, I’d say I take the credit, but since I’m a bankruptcy attorney, perhaps “credit” is not the right word to use.
When I was growing up (and according to my law partners, I still am), my hero was my dad. He still is. He passed away in 2002. Dad wanted me to help repair the world, to do good things for people. I enjoy representing my clients because I love to see how the work I do has such a profound positive effect on their lives. And even though some of my clients may not know how much work I have done on their case, or even if they don’t understand what I have done for them, I still go home at the end of the day knowing that I have done well and that I have made their lives better. That is its own reward.
And I know my dad would be proud of me.
